Tipper Gore Visits

Not one of us had at any time before been working with any kind of function intended for the White House and therefore we all were especially excited... It turned out to be a lovely balmy full moon night as the luxury yacht slipped along the length of the San Francisco Waterfront with Tipper Gore and her guests. Soon after a lengthy day on the campaign trail Mrs. Gore seemed to be relaxed and pleasant. She discovered the onboard staff by name and was genuinely down to earth. The cruise went by far too quickly. A magnificent time was had by all.

When Mrs. Gore turned up in her motorcade everything ended up being perfect. She was gracious and approached everyone and inquiredabout first names which she remembered even at the end of the cruise. The full moon was growing behind the Bay Bridge and the bay was oily smooth, reflecting the climbing moon. After about an hour every person started to go with the flow and were able to leave the campaign behind for a little while. With dinner and desserts finished, we headed back into dock. We bid farewell to our very important visitors and watched as their motorcade vanished into the night.
