Microwave ovens in America and the world have made life easier for mankind when making meals or warming up food or drinks. Microwaves have an interesting history from the first one invented to how it was invented.
The first microwave that was officially documented using the term microwave was in 1931 when it was described in The Telegraph and Telephone Journal. It is fascinating that a math person named James Clark Maxwell was able to predict an existence of electromagnetic waves as soon as 1864 using math equations. In around 1890 the first person demonstrated the existence of electromagnetic waves using an UHF region.
In the 1970s they got affordable for middle-class Americans. The company Jenn Air was founded by a man named Louis J. Jenn. This corporation was started in the late 1940s. When it was founded the name was Jenn-Air Products. This is a company that originally built fans for large buildings (the official name is industrial fans).
They evolved into making kitchen appliances like ovens and stove ranges. Few years later the company name became Jenn-Air. They got into making refrigerators in the 60s then microwaves started to be popular and they began to build and sell these up to the present day.
The founder Louis J. Jenn has a suitable memorial park in Indianapolis, Indiana. Maytag bought Jenn-Air in the early 1980s and they are currently owned by Whirlpool corporation as of 2006. Jenn Air still makes microwaves, but now those that are built into the walls and countertops are what they specialize in.
One of the present day models being sold is the 30 inch over the range Jenn Air microwave convection oven. Convection signifies that it is a microwave that works as a regular microwave and also works as an oven type that cooks food with the speed of a microwave oven but the food comes out browned like it would out of a regular oven.
Jenn Air also offers 24 and 27 inch microwaves. The 30 inch Jenn Air microwave oven is offered in 5 colors. The 24 inch is an under counter model with a drawer design. These are not the cheap microwaves you will see at a Walmart etc, but these are quality microwave ovens that last a lot longer and are made with better parts.
The Jenn Air microwave is well worth the price and if you purchase one of these you won't regret it.
